Airside | The movement area of an airport, adjacent terrain and building of portions thereof, access to which is controlled |
Authorized Person | Any person authorized by Airlines AIR for a particular task |
Cargo | Any property carried on a aircraft other than mail, stores and accompanied or mishandled baggage. |
Carry-on baggage | Means all baggage and articles in the possession of passengers, which are accessible to them in flight. |
Checked baggage | All baggage, except carry-on baggage, accepted by an airline from ticketed passengers, to which baggage tags are attached at time of check-in. |
Crew | A person assigned by Airlines AIR for duty on an aircraft during flight time. |
Director General | The Indonesian Director General of Civil Aviation. |
Hijack | Seizure of an aircraft by force or threat of force or any form of intimidation. |
ICAO | International Civil Aviation Organization. |
In flight | The operation of an aircraft from the moment when all its external doors are closed following embarkation until the moment when any such door is opened for disembarkation. |
Known shipper | An agent, freight forwarder or any other who conduct business with Airlines AIR, and provides security controls that are accepted by the appropriate authority in respect of cargo, courier and express parcels or mail. |
Law enforcement officer | Means person having Policing Authority. |
Metal detector | Means an electronic device used to detect metal on person. |
Minister | The Minister of Department of Communication Indonesia |
Operator | A person, organization or enterprise engaged in or offering to engage in an aircraft operation. |
Person in custody | Means a person in lawful custody who is compiled to be taken from one place to another, in accordance with Indonesia Regulation. |
Pilot-in-Command | Pilot designated Airlines Air as Pilot-in-Command and responsible for the operation and safety of the aircraft, passengers and crew during flight time. The pilot-in-Command has final authority for the disposition of the aircraft. |

Sterile area | Means an area access to which person, vehicles and goods are not permitted until clearance is given in relation to aviation security. |
Transfer Pax/bag | Passengers or baggage making direct connection between two different flight. |
Transit Pax/bag | Passenger or baggage departing from an airport on same flight as that which they arrived. |
