Hi All,
There has been announcements that Six airports within Angkasa Pura 1 and Angkasa Pura 2’s jurisdictions, are readily implementing National Logistics Ecosystem. This is good indicators for more advancements of supply Chain Managements.
The national logistics ecosystem program of a country refers to the interconnectedness of diverse entities involved in the movement of goods and services. It encompasses the complex network of activities including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and information systems. And Indonesia is one of the countries hving the NLE portal to govern the complexity.
Indonesia’s logistics ecosystem is a rapidly evolving field, characterized by the integration of various segments, ranging from transportation to inventory management, and from information technology to warehouse services. A country made up of thousands of islands, Indonesia faces unique challenges in terms of logistics. However, the Indonesian government has been proactive in addressing these challenges by promoting digital transformation and improving infrastructure.
Indonesia has been able to leverage information technology to streamline its logistics processes. The government has introduced e-logistics platforms ( https://nle.kemenkeu.go.id ), which facilitate the seamless interaction of different logistics stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, transportation providers, and government regulators. Additionally, the government’s commitment to improving logistics infrastructure, such as ports, roads, and warehouses, has contributed significantly to the functionality of the national logistics ecosystem.
The national logistics ecosystem portal in Indonesia provides numerous benefits. It enhances the efficiency of the supply chain by reducing logistical costs and improving the speed and reliability of goods delivery. This has been key in attracting foreign investments and boosting domestic industries.
Another benefit is also it promotes transparency and accountability in the logistics sector. The digital platforms allow real-time tracking of goods and services, ensuring proper documentation and reducing possibilities of illicit transactions.
And of course most importantly as well, the national logistics ecosystem fosters innovation and competition. The adoption of new technologies encourages companies to innovate, while the openness of the system promotes competition, leading to better services and lower prices for consumers.
Indonesia’s national logistics ecosystem implementation can act as a catalyst for a stronger supply chain industry. An efficient and reliable logistics ecosystem can attract more businesses, both local and international, to operate in Indonesia. This would lead to an increase in the demand for supply chain services, thereby catalyzing the growth of the industry.
Furthermore, the digital transformation of the logistics ecosystem encourages the use of advanced technologies in the supply chain industry. These technologies can significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations, making the industry more competitive internationally.
We can view some examples of other countries with their Robust National Logistics Ecosystem implementation such as The Netherlands and Singapore. They are examples of countries with a robust national logistics ecosystem. The Netherlands has a highly efficient logistics infrastructure, including the Port of Rotterdam, which is the largest in Europe, and an extensive network of roads and railways. The country also boasts a high level of digitalization in its logistics sector, which enhances efficiency and transparency.
Similarly, Singapore’s logistics ecosystem is characterized by excellent infrastructure, including the Port of Singapore, one of the busiest in the world, and the Changi Airport, a major global air cargo hub. The government’s initiatives, such as the Smart Nation program, have also promoted the use of advanced technologies in the logistics sector.
So hoping that implementation of better and more advanced logistics ecosystem, characterized by digital transformation and improved infrastructure, has the potential to catalyze a stronger supply chain industry.
Good lucks and success all Supply chains stake holders
Salam Sehat Semangat Sukses
