Medicines and vaccines
- Medicinal Products, including Vaccines, for HUMAN CONSUMPTION Licenses are required from the respective regulatory units of the Health Products Regulation Group, Health Sciences Registrable Medicinal Products for HUMAN CONSUMPTION
- A product license or import license is required for the import of registrable medicinal products for sale in Singapore. For enquiries, please contact the Pharmaceuticals & Biologics Branch (PBB), Therapeutic Products Division, Health Products Regulation Group, Health Sciences Authority
- In addition, a poisons license and a license to import controlled drugs are required if the product contains substances that are also controlled under the Poisons Act and the Misuse of Drugs Act/Regulations respectively
Investigational Medicinal Products in Clinical Trials
- An import permit is required for the import of investigational medicinal products for use in clinical trials. For enquiries, please contact the Clinical Trials Branch (CTB), Therapeutic Products Division, Health Products Regulation Group, Health Sciences Authority
Chinese Proprietary Medicines (CPM)
- Import licenses and product approvals are required for the import of all Chinese Proprietary Medicines (CPM) for sale in Singapore. Traditional Medicines and Homoeopathic Medicines
- Traditional medicines (other than CPM) and homoeopathic medicines are currently not subjected to licensing requirements. The onus of responsibility for their safety and quality as well as compliance with existing legislation rests with the dealer that imports/sells/deals with the products.

Health Supplements
- Health Supplements are currently not subject to licensing requirements. The onus of responsibility for their safety and quality as well as compliance with the health supplement guidelines rests with the dealer that imports/sells/deals with the products.
